The story was like James Ellroy's Killer on The Road cooked in a microwave. Its an ode to coming of age without the formula. When we are young we know we will grow up but fail to see the process, when we we are adults we think coming of age is a series of events, and when we are old enough to know we don't know shit we realize that coming of age is a mindset. This story captures that mindset.
